The 2010 Altadena Town Council Elections will be held Saturday June 5. Any Altadena resident who is at least 18 years of age, is a citizen of the United States of America, and resides within the Census Tract which he/she seeks to represent, may qualify as a candidate for Town Council elections.

Town council: candidate deadline May 14, election June 5
Candidates will need to file an application and pay a filing fee. Application Packets can be obtained at the Altadena Community Center located at 730 East Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA. Office hours are 8:00. a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Your complete Application must include:
-A completed and signed Application Form
-A check or money order in the amount of $35.00 made out to Altadena Town Council.
-A statement of your qualifications for office.
-Proof of Residency (CA Drivers License, CA Identification Card or Passport)
Deadline for filing your application at the Community Center is May 14, 2010 at 5:00 pm. You must bring proof of residency.
The Altadena Town Council will hold a “Candidate’s Forum” at the May 18, 2010, Altadena Town Council meeting at which the Candidate’s statement will be read. It is not required but recommended that each Candidate appear and make an oral presentation of his/her qualifications, explaining his/her motivations and goals for seeking office.
