The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the Los Angeles County Commission for Women has selected Dr. Sandra E. Thomas, Altadena Council Member and CEO of the Quality of Life Center inc, (home of the Bright Futures Scholars), as one of the award recipients for the 25th Annual Women of the Year Award.

Dr. Thomas was selected from the 5th District which is represented by the Honorable Michael D. Antonovich.

The commission recognizes women who have worked long and hard to bring about social and economic change, served as exceptional role models, worked on behalf of women’s issues, demonstrated outstanding performance within their respective fields and advocated for women’ s rights.
