I am sad to report that a couple coyotes caught a neighborhood cat this morning around 6.  My husband watched the whole affair in our front yard at Maiden Lane and Dolores.  He attempted to help, but it was too late.  So heads up, everyone.  Keep a close eye on your small animals!

We’ve also had sightings of a mountain lion in the Chaney Trail neighborhood near Alzada (we’re still working on our mountain lion graphic!), so in addition to the bears, remember that the fires have severely affected habitat and food sources, and expect more stories like this.
