July 4 in Altadena ended with a bang (and not just the echo of the Rose Bowl fireworks in the hills) as the Elks 99 Concert Band gave a patriotic concert in Farnsworth Park.

How I wish we were just hearing the fireworks from the Rose Bowl. There were so many fireworks going off around us in our neighborhood of Allen & Morada it sounded like a small war! What happen to fireworks being against the law? Our poor dogs! This was the worst I can ever remember and we have been living here 35 years.
