Not sure exactly why the Coast Guard is buzzing our little town at low altitude at 12:45pm this afternoon.

“L” from above
But the distinctive sound of the Swiss built copter and the bright orange and white color scheme left no doubt. Is there a body of water that I don’t know about?…or maybe they were headed to the only body of water in the entire zone, Johnson Pond(lake), as they came back and buzzed the Rose Bowl area before heading out.
At the same time, the heavens were seemingly playing a bit of cosmic SCRABBLE in the sky as the clouds were actually in letter form today…A BIG Capital “L” was quite evident…and quite unusual.

At 10:40 PM on Friday, May 8, my wife and I heard a sound like thunder coming from overhead. The sky was clear with the moon and stars quite visble. The noise grew quite cloud at times, loud enough that we could hear it in our house. It was so unnerving I called the Sherriff who said they had not received any calls about the noise. Anyone else hear this? Is JPL testing rockets again?
