Scanner traffic now (5:20 PM) says Pasadena police and sheriff are setting up a permiter around Lincoln, Alberta, Canada, and Crosby to catch a guy. Perp is black, 20's, male, shaved head or short Afro, gray hoodie and black jeans — no details on what he did, but possibly armed.
Update 5:21: he's continuing southbound. Several units involved, including PPD chopper and K9.

This was still going on at 7:15 when I went to the 24 hour fitness. A little later, maybe 7:45, a whole flock of fire trucks went east on Woodbury outside the gym picture window while I was cranking away on the recumbent. Busy evening!
