When we first encountered it c. 1986 — by accident — we thought it looked like the Close Encounters mothership come to life!

My family makes a night of it. We make hot chocolate and start with Christmas Tree Lane, then pass the Balian Mansion and then go over to Hastings Ranch.
I’ve been doing this for over 40 years. A special thanks to everyone who decorates their houses and does this.
It’s the little things that really do matter in life.
