An afternoon of finely crafted folk and Americana with two award-winning Texas songwriters, Terry Klein & Jordi Baizan. Terry Klein and Jordi Baizan's musical partnership has entertained crowds in storied venues in every corner of Texas and up through the Midwest. Two seasoned solo performers, they cherish every chance they get to combine forces as they will this October for a week-long run of shows in California. This will be an absorbing afternoon of music and friendship. Terry Klein is a songwriter’s songwriter. His debut record, Great Northern, was produced by Walt Wilkins. Great Northern appeared on multiple 2017 Ten-Best lists and was praised by Rodney Crowell and Mary Gauthier. Klein and Wilkins teamed up again for Tex, which is out now. Tex covers a lot of physical and emotional ground: from West Texas to Central Asia, from anger and depression to hope and near-exultation. Tex has been the subject of international critical acclaim and reached the Top-20 of US Folk DJ Chart and the Top-15 of the EuroAmericana chart. Jordi Baizan is a first generation American and native Texan songwriter. His songwriting has garnered him recognition from several prestigious songwriting competitions including the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition, the Songwriter Serenade Competition, and the South Florida Folk Festival’s Singer/Songwriter Competition. Recently signed by Berkalin Records, label owner Brian J. Kalinec says "Jordi's songs convey authenticity perfectly intertwined with memorable melodies. His unique voice and his stories draw you in from the beginning, and you can't wait to hear the next page." Walt Wilkins, the producer of “Free and Fine”, Baizan’s new record, says "This is a beautiful record, full of grown-up but still joyous & hopeful songs by a true artist & deep soul."
