Parents and community members are invited to the unveiling of the newly painted kindergarten playground at Franklin Elementary School in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) at a school wide event Friday, April 10 at 9 a.m. Thanks to generous help from the Altadena Rotary, True Value Hardware in Pasadena and 100 volunteer students and parents who painted the playground over two weeks, the school was able to paint four large murals on the playground to change the world for the school’s kindergarten students.
“I’ve worked for PUSD for 18 years and it was always a dream of mine to paint our playground for the children,” said Jennifer Boynton, Franklin teacher and a 2015 PUSD Teacher of Excelence. “This year, I was finally able to see that vision to completion.”
